  1. Section 39 of the Terrorism Act 2000 was amended by s 117(1)(3) of the Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001. If you look at the entry in the Chronological Table of the Statutes provided in Extract 2.3 you will see:
    s 39 am—Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security, 2001 c 24, s 117(1)(3)
    Here ‘am’ is the abbreviation for ‘amended’.
  1. Section 38B was added to the Terrorism Act 2000 by s 117(1)(2) of the Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001. If you look at the entry in the Chronological Table of the Statutes provided in Extract 2.3 you will see:
    s 38B added—Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security, 2001 c 24, s 117(1)(2)

    There is no shortcut method to finding this. You have to scan the extract looking for s 117(1)(2) of the Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001.
