The MP is charged with the responsibility of putting his/her constituents' views before Parliament, according to his/her electoral mandate.
The MP (as the local elected representative for a political party) will attempt to advance his/ her constituents' views through his/her own decision-making and experience as well as his/her party's policy objective.
The legislature is made up of a single chamber.
The legislature is made up of two chambers, an upper and a lower chamber, each with slightly different functions.
Electors vote for a constituency MP and a representative using proportional representation from a party list.
Electors vote for a constituency MP and the candidate with the most votes is returned.
